The Art of Body-Mind Flow

J&F logo

Through training the body and the mind, one learns to harness and move in harmony with the Flow that is ever-present in and around us. This Flow is limitless and infinite.

When we move against the flow, more units of energy must be used to carry out a single act. When we move with the flow, actions manifest "effortlessly". Our units of energy are freed up to be used wisely and cost-effectively for other activities, such as increasing calm, equanimity, awareness, and the understanding of the myriad choices we can make in life.

Through training Body-Mind Flow one gains facility over how to link one's energy network to the mechanics of the body, thereby finding expression for the limitless and joyous power of the mind - and no-mind!

Our Assurance:

At Joy&Freedom-International, we are committed to facilitating participants in an exciting, fun, yet ethical and safe learning environment.

All arts taught at Joy&Freedom are spiritual, yet non-religious and non-denominational.

Springkicks™ Mini Intensives - Confidence. Clarity. Compassion.

Beginners and masters alike are welcome.
Come prepared to learn, train, interact and have fun - all in a flowing and safe environment. Complete the intensive with increased confidence in your ability to defend yourself and your loved ones. Go home with a sense of 'quiet, calm excitement for life'.

Taught by Sifu Emiko Hsuen, these mini intensives are excellent for getting started, reviewing or fast-tracking, in the training of the authentic Shaolin arts - especially on how these arts benefit the daily life. The focus is on Northern Shaolin Tantui, 18 Lohan Hands and 18 Lohan Art. Practitioners will learn how to flow with energy, develop internal force, and work in solo and pair modes (including pre-set and spontaneous pairwork). Each mini intensive is both independent and cumulative, so those who are already on a customized daily training program and wish to attend a one-time event may do so, while others with little to no experience can attend all of the events for cumulative benefit. (These events do count as credit towards the Springkicks diploma. Please refer to the Springkicks curriculum for further details.)
